Disney World now requiring temperature screenings at hotel restaurants

JULY 27, 2020 BY BROOKE GEIGER MCDONALD

Disney has continued to expand and modify health and safety protocols implemented across Walt Disney World. Disney has now updated the Walt Disney World website to state that guests will now undergo a temperature screening before dining at a table-service restaurant at a Disney resort hotel.

The new language states that guests will undergo the temperature screening “prior to entering the location.” Similar to temperature screening guidelines at Disney World’s theme parks and Disney Springs, any guest with a temperature of 100.4 F degrees or higher will be rescreened. Should they still have a temperature above 100.4 F, they will not be permitted to enter, nor will anyone else in their party.

We don’t yet know whether this screening will take place at resort entrances or at the entrances to the restaurants themselves, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

Disney has implemented other additional health and safety protocols since reopening restaurants at Disney World resorts and theme parks including Mobile Dine Check-In, contactless menus, and requiring guests to wear face coverings until seated at their table.
